NEW: EECS Repo service
The EECS Repo service http://repo.eecs.berkeley.edu/ allows members
of the EECS community and their external collaborators to use a shared
version control system for writing papers and developing software in a
secure manner. By using EECS storage, we avoid duplication of effort
and provide a documented disaster recovery process.
The EECS Repo service currently supports the SVN and Git version
control systems with preliminary support for external (non-EECS/UCB)
collaborators. Setup instructions and an FAQ are available in a Wiki
linked on the site. The service is open for early adopters who are
willing to provide constructive feedback to the project. Feedback and
questions should be sent to repo-support@eecs.berkeley.edu. Also,
please let us know if you are interested in contributing to the
project. In the coming weeks we will schedule a time to meet in person
as a group to listen to additional feedback and discuss future
directions for this new service.
The Repo project was designed, developed and implemented by staff in a
few EECS research groups and IRIS. Special thanks to Kostadin Ilov
(chief developer) and Jeff Anderson-Lee, Christopher Brooks, Ubirata
Chaves Coelho, Aaron Culich, Ed Karuna, Jon Kuroda, Wendy Pennell, Tim
Scoppetta, Brian K. Shiratsuki, Keith Sklower and Mary Stewart.

Mailing List Server maintenance
The web interface at https://lists.eecs.berkeley.edu may be sporadically unavailable during this time.
Incoming mail to lists.eecs may be delayed during this time. All mail will be delivered after service resumes, but how long it will be delayed depends on how frequently the originating mail server retries. This is typically an hour at most.

Windows 7 activation failing
Activation of new Windows 7 installs is currently failing, due to our license limit being reached. EECS Staff have already contacted campus, who has contacted SHI (the Microsoft reseller for UCB). We hope to have the limit increased soon, so activations of Windows 7 can proceed normally.
