Network Maintenance – Soda 5th Floor

We plan to failover to the backup uplink for the fifth floor of Soda Hall in order to troubleshoot a network issue. This action will be taken on February 3 around 6:00PM and it should take less than 5 minutes. No service interruption is expected, but in the event of a failure there may be a brief (5 minute) outage for some areas of the fifth floor. The failover will be complete by 6:15PM; if you are experiencing an outage after this time please email help@eecs.berkeley.edu.

Power Outage at BWRC

Network at Soda 4TH floor

Since the devices affected by the switch failure have been moved to temp ports on an alternate switch, we plan to move ports from the alternate switch to the replaced/new switch on Sep 19 between 9:00-10:00am. You might experience some intermittent network connectivity issues at 4th floor of Soda. Please let us know at help@eecs or 510-642-7777 if your device is still having network connectivity issues after 10:00am. Thanks.

Network Maintenance for Cory 3rd floor

The switch on the 3rd floor of Cory will be rebooted around 8:00AM on April 27. You may experience some intermittent network issues during the scheduled time from 8:00-10:00AM.

Partial loss Wireless Network on 4th floor of Soda hall

Part of wireless network on the 4th floor of Soda hall was down from 10:42am to 10:53am because that UPS failed during the power UPS testing from the electrician. Those APs are back on around 10:53am. Sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause. If you still experience any wireless issue in that area, please report to help@eecs

ATT link for BWRC

EECS wireless network: attwifi

The AT&T SSID (attwifi) will be broadcast on Soda, Cory, Sutardja Dai,Blum and HMMB starting from Feb 26 around 10:00am, 2013.

BWRC wireless network maintenance

IRIS staff will upgrade the firmware for the wireless gears at BWRC. It will require to reboot the device around 8:00am on Dec 20, 2012. The schedule of the maintenance window will be from 8:00am-9:00am.
