Wireless Networking SDH AMP Camp

August 21, 2012 by IRIS Staff

We are aware of issues with wireless networking in SDH for the AMP Camp. Measures are being taken to address these issues. Extra wireless access points are being deployed in SDH Auditorium. Testing is being done to assess if this resolves the networking issues. If you are still having trouble connecting to the wireless network, please speak to a conference administrator.

Miscellaneous services affected by project space outage

June 18, 2012 by Rob McNicholas

Last night’s outage of project.eecs caused a few other services to misbehave this morning. We believe all services are functioning as of around 11am.

An automatic process that generated configuration files for our DHCP server was generating truncated files, causing DHCP service to be out for some clients. That was resolved around 9:15am.

The server iris.eecs had some email stuck in its queue related to recent laptop purchase requests. Fixing that required a reboot of the server, and iris.eecs was down from around 10:30am until around 10:50am.

The ACG application server buffy.eecs apparently hung last night due to the project.eecs outage. It was rebooted this morning around 9am.
