The IRIS website server (iris.eecs.berkeley.edu) was rebooted at around 11:40am today, due to unforseen complications arising from the emergency network outage at 10:40am. Immediately prior to the reboot, you may have been unable to log in to network or roster database applications, and experienced a general slowness problem. IRIS staff apologizes for inconvenience. HERMES, PRINT, RIS and WINSWW will be down for patching **Wednesday, August 15th**, from **3:00pm–5:00pm**.
macserver.eecs.berkeley.edu, which hosts the Mac software warehouse, will be down for maintenance at this time as well.

The IRIS website will be offline for maintenance beginning at 9pm on Sunday, August 5, 2007. It should be back in service no later than 10pm.
This will affect all aspects of iris.eecs website, including the network database and user accounts applications.

Mathematica License Renewal
As of August 2, 2007, the EECS license for Mathematica has expired.
We are in the process of renewing the license, but are experiencing some delays as the requisition makes its way through campus bureaucracy. We hope to make a new, valid Mathematica license available on the license server soon.
