Part of the Soda 4th floor wired network (primarily RISE Lab) was offline today between 15:34 and 15:46 due to a misbehaving private network. The private network has been temporarily disabled and service has been restored.
Cory Hall Network Outage 7/27
The Cory Hall network was offline from 15:16 – 15:34 this afternoon due to a malfunction in the building core switch. The issue has been resolved.

Various Linux servers will be down for patching and needed reboots to activate changes delivered by some RHEL patches.
The departmental dhcp server is scheduled for downtime from 6:30am to 7am.

rhea the other departmental DNS and time server is scheduled for downtime from 7:00am-7:15am.
The departmental authenticating outgoing SMTP server gateway.eecs is scheduled for downtime from 7:5am to 7:45am.
We expect actual downtimes to be less than scheduled.

Microsoft will release their patches for the month on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021. PRINT, WINTERM and WDS will automatically patch and reboot Wednesday, July 14th, at 3:00 am.

Beginning Tuesday, May 18th, we will be performing wi-fi upgrades in all EECS network service areas (except BWRC and HMMB). Work will generally proceed floor-by-floor, with each building experiencing rolling wi-fi outages over a two to three day period. All wireless networks will be offline: EECS-Secure, EECS-PSK, AirBears2, eduroam, and CalVisitor.
Please see the schedule below for information specific to your building. If you are currently working on campus, and depend on the wireless network in these locations, please consider working from an alternate location during your building’s maintenance dates. We also recommend checking this post regularly in case of schedule changes.

This Friday, May 7th between 8 and 9AM, we will be performing scheduled maintenance of the EECS-PSK wireless network to prepare for our upcoming wi-fi refresh.
