Thanksgiving CalMail Outage

Performance problems with project storage

We have had various reports of slow access times and “out of space” errors when trying to read or write files on project storage. Staff are currently investigating the problem.

If you are experiencing problems, please send the following details to help@eecs:

– name / IP address of client having problems
– description of problem or error message
– type of access -NFS or CIFS?
– name of share you are trying to access

Nov 2011 Server Patching

Microsoft will release their patches for the month on Tuesday, Nov 8th, 2011.

PRINT, WDS and WINTERM will automatically patch and reboot Wednesday, Nov 9th, at 3:00 am.

WINTERM will be unavailable till 10:00am Nov 9th.
