network problem in Cory Hall
We have had various reports of network outages with wired network ports on the south side of the 3rd floor of Cory Hall.
Our network staff are investigating and currently in contact with our network equipment vendor to diagnose the problem.
The wireless network appears to be functioning normally in this area.

BWRC Network Connectivity
The network connection to BWRC has been reported as failing. IDSG and IST staff have been alerted and are now working on the problem.
The vendor (Comcast) that handles the link has been notified and they are working on diagnosing the problem.

BWRC Network around 1:00PM on Feb 9
IST staff will replace the media converter at BWRC to try to solve the outgoing packet loss issue. It should take about 10-15 mins. BWRC outgoing network traffic will be affected. BWRC internal network traffic will still remain working. We will schedule about 1 hour maintenance window in case something unexpected occur. Network Maintenance Soda Oct 19 from 6:00am
The EECS network at Soda Hall is scheduled for maintenance on Wed, Oct 19, 2011 beginning at 6:00AM and ending at 8:00AM. You may experience a brief outage on both the wired and wireless networks.

BWRC Network Outage around 3:11PM
BWRC experienced network outage this afternoon. We are investigating the cause.

Network outage Cory 4th floor on Sep 16
Currently power outlets in the 4th flr. restrooms are on a common electrical circuit with power in the 4th communications closet. Space and facilities team would like to shutdown the communications closet for about or less than 30 minutes to move these outlets onto a new circuit.
This will prevent outside areas from accidentally tripping the circuit feeding the communications closet. The network switches serving in the area of 4th floor will be affected by this move. Only users in 4th floor of Cory will be affected by this. Since wireless APs in 4th floor were fed by the switches in that closet, you may experience wireless outages if you are located in 4th floor area.
We have UPS and hopefully will be able to carry the load but you may experience some of intermittent wired and wireless conductivity issues for a short period of time.
