Additional Down Time During May 2012 Server Patching

print.eecs and winterm.eecs will be changing physical locations on May 9th, just after patching.

This work will be done from 6:00AM – 9:00AM on Wednesday, May 9th, 2012.

Every effort will be made to remain with in our allotted schedule.

Web, Mailing List, Jabber outage May 9th, 6am

Due to a major reorganization in the IRIS Data Center, numerous IRIS services will be unavailable 6am-8am, Wednesday May 9.

The servers that support the department’s website, the IRIS website, jabber, ACG applications, the print spooler, the Windows Terminal Server, and the department’s mailing lists will all be physically moved to new locations. Extensive prep work has been done to minimize downtime to the absolute minimum, and we hope that most services will be up sooner, but we are allotting 2 hours for this work.

Feb 2012 Server Patching

Microsoft will release their patches for the month on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012.

PRINT and WINTERM will automatically patch and reboot Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, at 3:00 am.

WINTERM will be unavailable till 10:00am, Wednesday, February 15th, 2012.

Dec 2011 Server Patching

Microsoft will release their patches for the month on Tuesday, December 13th, 2011.

PRINT, WDS and WINTERM will automatically patch and reboot Wednesday, December 14th, at 3:00 am.



WINTERM will be unavailable till 10:00am December 14th.
