Web, Mailing List, Jabber outage May 9th, 6am

Due to a major reorganization in the IRIS Data Center, numerous IRIS services will be unavailable 6am-8am, Wednesday May 9.

The servers that support the department’s website, the IRIS website, jabber, ACG applications, the print spooler, the Windows Terminal Server, and the department’s mailing lists will all be physically moved to new locations. Extensive prep work has been done to minimize downtime to the absolute minimum, and we hope that most services will be up sooner, but we are allotting 2 hours for this work.

This is a reminder that many department computing services will be impacted by a machine room reorganization on the morning of Wednesday, May 9th. www.eecs, www.cs, lists.eecs, jabber.eecs, print.eecs, winterm.eecs, and buffy.eecs will be down intermittently between 6am and 8am as they are moved to new locations in the machine room.
