Network Maintenance for EECS network May 27th

May 27, 2009 by Janet Shu

We will sync network firmware and also upgrade the BootROM for one router in Soda 2nd floor (soda-server8810)on next Wed May 27,2009. We expect that there might be brief network outages between 6:00AM to 7:45AM.

This router serves several department servers and this will affect users who use network at that time. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Please make your plans accordingly.

UPDATE

[2009-05-27 08:31:05 | Fred A Archibald]

The maintenance is complete. This work went a bit longer than scheduled as we encountered a complication after the diagnostics. The switch did not recover cleanly and had to be rebooted causing additional network disruption. Imap was also affected but is fixed now.
