Intermittent Network Outage Redux, 2/21/18

We are experiencing a repeat of last week’s network border issues. We are working with local system administrators to fully remove all problematic devices from the network.

The network will remain mostly stable during this time but there will be a few brief outages as we attempt to verify whether all interferers have been removed.

Using a more detailed search method than we did last week, two specific machines were positively identified as interferers and have been removed from the network.

As we still cannot identify the mechanism behind this issue, we will be doing a detailed investigation of these two machines to determine what they were doing wrong.

In the mean time we will continue to monitor the network to ensure the issue does not recur, or to react quickly if it does.
