Network Service Outage Today

October 11, 2007 by IRIS Staff

There are some errors on the switch that caused the network service outages around 2:23pm this afternoon. Staff are working with the vendor to investigate the causes.

UPDATE

[2007-10-11 17:39:57 | Ann DiFruscia]

Network outages are still occurring due to a faulty network switch. Staff continue to investigate causes of the problems with vendor and will update this site when all is resolved.

UPDATE

[2007-10-11 20:57:01 | Fred Archibald]

As of 19:18 this evening, the failed 10 Gigabit Ethernet module was replaced in the Cory Hall core switch and the errors are gone. I believe the Cory connectivity issues are now gone as well. Many thanks to Janet Shu who stayed late to replace the failed module.

Resolved as of 2007-10-11 19:18:00
