The root cause is still unknown and still being investigated by us and IST, however the network problems we experienced have subsided for the moment. We will continue to monitor the network to watch for a recurrence of the problem.
If the problem re-appears we suggest using AirBears for wifi which has a different network path that seems to be unaffected by this most recent problem.

Reports from IST indicate the problems we experienced this afternoon may be related to a DDOS attack that is still ongoing. Though the symptoms within EECS have subsided for now the problem could impact us again.
