New UNIX group id for staff

The new UNIX group id number for staff is 772.

We have taken the liberty of updating the default
UNIX group id number in the departmental NIS domain
for all staff that were using the old group id
number (10) to use the new UNIX group id number (772). This was done because the old number was low (less than 100) and could conflict with a default UNIX group id in some operating systems.

expired SSL certificate on gateway.EECS.Berkeley.EDU

gateway.EECS.Berkeley.EDU was offering an expired SSL certificate for outgoing SMTP service during the Monday October 21 16:59 PDT to Tuesday October 22 06:49 PDT time frame.

We regret the inconvenience.

Though a new SSL certificate was installed on gateway on October 1, 2013, not all the appropriate processes were restarted at that time.

Resolved as of 2013-10-22 06:49:00

Though the scheduled downtime is 6:30am to 7am, we expect actual downtime to be less.

A renewed SSL certificate is being installed.
