Wireless Authentication Issue

March 9, 2009 by IRIS Staff

Some users have had some difficulties authenticating to some wireless WLANs. EECS-Secure in particular is an issue. EECS-Open may or may not be an issue. EECS and AirBears are not a problem at this time. We are currently investigating the RADIUS server as the root of the problem. Hopefully we will have more info tomorrow.

UPDATE

[2009-03-12 06:58:35 | Fred A Archibald]

There is less evidence that this issue is related to RADIUS. Both Cory And Soda wireless controllers were rebooted about 06:30 this morning. Some users may have to re-authenticate. We are still monitoring the situation.

UPDATE

[2009-03-17 07:33:08 | Fred A Archibald]

While I can’t say that this is completely resolved, we are no longer receiving reports on this issue. We will continue to monitor the situation.

Resolved as of 2009-03-17 07:29:00
