We will do some more testing on the suspect controller tomorrow morning.
UPDATE
[2008-08-26 13:49:44 | Fred A Archibald]
The issue from yesterday continues and is getting worse. About 1/2 of the EECS related AirBears clients can’t get leases. We are currently working with IST to resolve this issue but do not yet have an expected resolution time.
UPDATE
[2008-08-27 10:50:59 | Mike Howard]
As a side effect of the ongoing problems with AirBears, two of the main wireless controllers unexpectedly rebooted at approximately 09:35, causing a brief disruption of all wireless service including the EECS and EECS-11a SSIDs.
UPDATE
[2008-08-28 07:06:34 | Fred A Archibald]
Some AirBears clients are still not able to get DHCP leases. IST has found some problems with the Access Manager for EECS but the issue is as yet, unresolved. They are continuing to investigate.
UPDATE
[2008-08-28 17:53:13 | Fred A Archibald]
As of about 5:30 or so, all AirBears service has been restored in EECS. While we know what the issue was, we are not exactly sure as to the root cause. There may be a brief outage to some AirBears and other EECS clients tomorrow morning while we bring up a 4th controller. Any outage should be less than a couple of min. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
