IRIS Account Request Form out of service

January 7, 2016 by Rob McNicholas

The IRIS form for requesting a new account is currently out of service due to an incompatibility with the recently-upgraded campus ldap service.

We are in the process of migrating this application to a new server and expect the migration to be complete by January 15.

Until then if you need a new IRIS account, please contact [the IRIS helpdesk](https://iris.eecs.berkeley.edu/help) who will assist you in submitting a request.

UPDATE

[2016-01-11 16:54:55 | Rob McNicholas]

In order to complete the migration to a new server, the IRIS Roster and Network applications will be offline tonight between 7pm and 10pm. No user account requests or network device registrations will be accepted during the migration. This article will be updated once the maintenance has been completed.

UPDATE

[2016-01-11 19:41:08 | Rob McNicholas]

Tonight’s maintenance on iris.eecs has been completed. The IRIS Roster and Network applications are back in service, including the IRIS Account Request Form which has been unavailable for several weeks.

These applications have been ported to a new virtual machine running in the IST data center, running more up-to-date software. This migration required some changes to the code to work with the newer versions of its various components.
