Brief outage to Jabber, Mailing Lists

October 14, 2015 by Rob McNicholas

There are some operating system patches to be installed on our database server that require it be rebooted. jabber.eecs and lists.eecs both depend on this database server, and will likely experience brief outages Wednesday Oct 14th between 10pm and 10:15pm.

UPDATE

[2015-10-15 09:52:37 | Rob McNicholas]

The operating system maintenance completed quickly as expected, but unfortunately the jabber server did not restart automatically as it was supposed to, and the jabber service was down until 7:09 am this morning. I apologize for the inconvenience.
