Mathematica license expired Dec 1 2013

December 1, 2013 by Rob McNicholas

The department’s Mathematica license has expired. IRIS staff are in the process of renewing it.

This was an unfortunate oversight. We are taking steps to ensure we are reminded in the future before the license actually expires.

UPDATE

[2013-12-02 16:52:35 | Robert McNicholas]

The EECS Department’s local license server’s key had expired on 11/30/2013. A new license file has been generated and installed. We have taken this opportunity to also upgrade our server to the latest version and moved it to a more modern hardware. The new license server name is flexlm2.eecs.berkeley.edu. People running Mathematica from SWW will automatically get the new server, but any custom installations of Mathematica might need to be updated to refer to the new server name.

  • Old license server: flexlm.eecs.berkeley.edu aka cs2.cs.berkeley.edu
  • New license server: flexlm2.eecs.berkeley.edu
