Cluster.eecs and instfs connection to backup power

October 7, 2013 by IRIS Staff

The new UPS in 158 SDH is now ready for service, and a backup power connection will be added to cluster.eecs and instfs.eecs on Oct 7th at 7pm. No service interruption is anticipated, though some Windows shares may need to be re-mounted.

UPDATE

[2013-10-07 19:45:48 | Edward Karuna]

Both cluster.eecs and instfs.eecs have been connected to the UPS in 158 Sutardja Dai Hall, and are able to use the backup battery to stay on during the gap before the generator comes online in case of an emergency. Please inform help@eecs of any storage issues that may have occurred as a result of this maintenance.
