home.eecs required a power cycle to clear up any remaining issues. It should have been non-disruptive, and service should once again be available.

home.eecs had a short disruption of service during an unplanned failover to its partner filer at about 1:00 pm today. Service has been restored and most home directory accesses should have recovered gracefully from the disruption. Windows mounts may require a re-connection.
