VPN Service Changes

IST is replacing the campus VPN concentrator. The new system is live as of Monday, July 13th.

The old VPN service hosts a separate instance which allows access using EECS usernames and passwords. Due to low use and because it no longer provides unique functionality, IRIS has elected to end this EECS VPN service on August 12, 2009 when IST decommissions the old VPN hardware.

The new VPN requires new Cisco AnyConnect client software and you will need to login using your Calnet ID rather than EECS credentials.

In addition to adding 64-bit Windows support, the new VPN supports IPv6 transport across the tunnel.
