Both servers are now available, hermes.eecs will be retired on Wednesday, November 19th. Please take this time to move your data from hermes.eecs and test out winterm.eecs
To use winterm.eecs, make sure you are running the latest RDC from Microsoft for your platform.
Remote print queues can be used on winterm.eecs via the newer RDC version. Many printers have been added locally to winterm.eecs where Windows Server 2008 drivers allowed.

Desktop Experience will be installed and winterm.eecs will be rebooted tonight at 9:00pm.
Desktop Experience makes a Terminal Services desktop much more like the Windows Vista desktop experience. This feature adds a number of components to the remote desktop, including Windows Media Player 11, desktop themes, and photo management.

The installation of Desktop Experience failed last night. This morning I was able to uninstall and reinstall with no errors.
winterm.eecs is again available to users.

As previously announced hermes.eecs will be retired today. As of 3:00 p.m. users will no longer have access. Please take this time to move your data to the new terminal server winterm.eecs.
