Department Filer Migration

July 18, 2008 by IRIS Staff

On Friday, August 1st from 6am to 2pm we will be migrating to the new filers for home directories and project space. This downtime and migration affects the majority of the users in the department.

All sysadmins have received the technical details necessary to evaluate the impact on their users and should be contacting you. If you have additional questions, please contact your system administrator or the department’s help desk (help@eecs, 395 Cory, 642-7777).

The following services will be affected: coeus, project, argus, sww (not winsww).

UPDATE

ATTENTION:

Due to unforeseen difficulties, the Department Filer Migration will not occur on August 1st as originally scheduled. Another annoucement will be made next week about the new plan.
