IMAP Server Problems solved

January 16, 2007 by IRIS Staff

The IMAP Sever problems with logging in and not seeing the INBOX or folders that were ongoing the past few days have been solved.

While we are fairly certain that there will be no re-occurrence of this problem, if you experience problems with your IMAP client getting an empty INBOX and no folders, please quit your email client and try again. If you still have a problem then please contact help@eecs.

UPDATE

[2007-01-16 11:39:19 | Michael G. Bordua]

The IMAP Sever problems with logging in and not seeing the INBOX or folders that were ongoing the past few days have been solved.

This was caused by a misconfiguration made while setting up a second IMAP mail server that will be used to migrate users to the new storage infrastructure.

The misconfiguration has been identified and corrected.

While we are fairly certain that there will be no re-occurrence of this problem, if you experience problems with your IMAP client getting an empty INBOX and no folders, please quit your email client and try again. If you still have a problem then please contact help@eecs.
