Sept 2012 Server Patching

Microsoft will release their patches for the month on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.

PRINT, WDS and WINTERM will automatically patch and reboot Wednesday, September 12th, 2012, at 3:00 am.



WINTERM will be unavailable, to update all software, till 10:00am September 12th, 2012.

Emergency maintenance (2 of 2) for EECS-Secure wireless from 6-8am, Tuesday Sept 11th, 2012

We will be performing emergency maintenance for EECS-Secure wireless from 6-8am, Tuesday Sept 11th, 2012. During this window you may experience a brief interruption of service. We are changing the subnet for EECS-Secure during this time. If you lose service you can restart your networking to release and renew your DHCP lease to obtain an IP address on the new subnet. Alternately, you can use the EECS, EECS-Open, or AirBears SSIDs which will NOT be affected by the outage during this period tonight.

This is emergency maintenance window 2 of 2.

EECS Secure wireless network

Wireless Networking SDH AMP Camp

We are aware of issues with wireless networking in SDH for the AMP Camp. Measures are being taken to address these issues. Extra wireless access points are being deployed in SDH Auditorium. Testing is being done to assess if this resolves the networking issues. If you are still having trouble connecting to the wireless network, please speak to a conference administrator.

new winterm

As you may have noticed, winterm.eecs has become unstable.

We have built a new version of winterm.eecs which will shortly become live. The old winterm.eecs will be retired.

You still connect the same way but you will notice some changes. If you have any questions let us know.
