Red Hat Enterprise Linux
The campus has established a site license for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and maintains a local mirror for installation images and patches. Any faculty, staff or student with a valid CalNet ID is eligible to use this service.
This service provides a license only, and access to the local mirror of installation images and patches. It is assumed the person asking for a license is an experienced system administrator and can perform the installation and ongoing maintenance. If not, a system administration contract can be purchased from CUSG which provides this service.
To request access to the license key and media, send an email to the IRIS Helpdesk, and we will open a ticket with the campus to request your account be added to the EECS Org on the satellite server.
