Upgrading dhcp.eecs Friday, July 5

June 26, 2024 by Lars Rohrbach

On Friday, July 5, from about noon to 2pm, we will be performing an OS upgrade for dhcp.eecs.

During this time, DHCP service will be handled by our backup DHCP server, so there should be no significant interruption of service — but no new DHCP updates will be processed (i.e. new system network registrations will not become effective until after the upgrade is complete).

UPDATE

[2024-07-05 | larsrohr ]

The OS upgrade took longer than expected, but our backup DHCP server kept service functional for the afternoon. We finished updating late afternoon, and restored dhcp.eecs to service by 5:30 pm.

Resolved as of 2024-07-05 5:30pm
