Also, it has been reported and confirmed that Google Talk users cannot be seen by or send messages to users of the EECS Department’s Jabber server. This problem appears to have started recently. It is hoped that the server restart will be enough to fix this issue, but if the problem persists after the upgrade we will investigate further. The Department’s jabber server has been successfully upgraded to the latest version. The restart took place a bit later than planned, and the server was offline from 10:35-10:43pm.
Unfortunately, the communication problem with users @gmail.com continues. We are researching this problem and will post updates as we learn more.
