jabber.eecs SSL certificate update

March 28, 2018 by Rob McNicholas

The Department’s Jabber/XMPP server jabber.eecs.berkeley.edu will have a new SSL certificate installed tonight at 5pm as the current certificate is due to expire. No outage is expected but some clients may complain. Try restarting your chat client if you experience any problems.

UPDATE

[2018-03-28 17:26:25 | Rob McNicholas]

The jabber server did not like the format of the certificate file I was trying to import. This maintenance will be rescheduled for next week after more testing is done.
