Just after 4PM, we began noticing packet loss issues on the EECS side of the EECS-Campus border. This issue resulted in EECS’ connection to the Internet being in a degraded state. In the course of resolving this issue, another issue was triggered which affected the EECS-Campus BGP peering. This second issue resulted in EECS’ connection to the Internet being lost entirely. EECS staff contacted Campus IST NOS staff to report the issue, and around 7PM NOS pushed a change which resolved the BGP issue. The routes have now been stable for approximately 30 minutes, and this issue is being declared resolved.
