Each of these services will be restarted between 10pm and 10:15pm tonight, Monday, December 14th, 2009. Brief outages may be noticeable, but no server should be unavailable for more than a minute or two.
Please note that as recommended by our Certificate Authority we are moving to 2048 bit keys. Please report any compatibility issues to IRIS and your software vendor.
UPDATE
[2009-12-14 22:41:21 | Robert McNicholas]
The new SSL certificates were installed successfully on www.eecs, lists.eecs, iris.eecs and jabber.eecs.
Those who connect to the EECS Jabber/XMPP server jabber.eecs using the Pidgin client may have to manually accept the new SSL certificate. This is because Pidgin thinks it is connecting to eecs.berkeley.edu but the SSL certificate is for jabber.eecs.berkeley.edu. It is safe to accept this certificate.
